Perfect match with my GT1541. Sturdy, reliable, fast. I really enjoy low light photography and the process of preparing for a photo with a tripod in general. I went from a 5 dollar garage sale video camera tripod w/panhead to this combination. Quite the pleasure I had hoped for.
Although relatively light I guess, it still adds almost as much weight as the tripod itself. Unavoidable?
It does keep unscrewing itself from the tripod. Still figuring out how to solve that.
