Rubber plate, difficult to make minor adjustments
While the price is compelling, this is not a head that I would recommend for professional use. First, the rubber on the quick release plate allows mirror slap to be amplified and cause softness in your images. When evaluating heads, mount your camera to the head and pull down on the front of your lens. If the lens moves even a little pick a different head. With this head the lens moves quite a bit. Next, fine adjustments are difficult with this head. It's either moving or its not.
