Pros: Sturdy, reliable thyristor, good battery life, swivel head
Cons: No P-TTL

I got this flash at a garage sales, with a camera and lens. Paid 10$ for the lot, a real steal. The flash usually sells for about 40$.

I use the flash with my K20D. Even after many years unused (with alkalines batteries left inside, that leaked all over the place) the flash still works perfectly. It's easy to use with the K20D, simply use P mode, set the ISO, and fire! Aperture adjustments can be made if the image turns out too bright or dark, which can happen if you swivel the head. the two power levels are useful.

Flash recycle time is extremely fast, less than two seconds if using low power. Battery life is excellent, more than a hundred shots easily. The flash is sturdy, well manufactured, but the battery door is a little flimsy. The flash is thicker than modern versions, but less tall. the swivel head has notches at most useful angles, and no locking mechanism needs to be pressed except for macro angle (-15 degrees).

Am I glad I found this flash? You bet. A swiveling head is much better than the built-in flash for most low-light situations, and for the price I can't complain...
