I bought this flash as a cheap alternative to the Nikon dedicated flashes for my D70.
It works well as a cheap dedicated flash for fill-in and bounce and is pretty powerful with a guide number of 50. Its simple and easy to use.
With an omnibounce attached I've have found it has a tendency to overexpose unless flash compensation is used in camera, but on the whole I'm please with the results.
My main concern with this flash is its durability, expecially the plastic foot, and its pretty large and bulky for a simple flash.
Compared to the Nikon offerings, I think I would choose this over the new SB-400, but the SB-600 and SB-800 offer a whole lot more.

Seems perform as expected. Very simple to use, which could mean restrictions for some body. Haven't missed anything yet. Connection to camera is plastic, wonder if it's going to brake since it still is quite heavy flash as they seem to be.
Built in reflection card would be nice and option to disable AF assistance. Still good value for money.
