This is my first and only tripod so thusfar I haven't had the chance to compare it to other tripods, but I like it.
It's lightweight so it's easy to carry and yet it's still stable.
It has a quick release platform which is very handy and it's neither to loose or hard to turn or pitch with.
It doesn't raise all the way up to eye level though , which I would have liked , and it doesn't go very low so you can't shoot a picture just above the grass when using it.
It was a gift so I'm not sure of how much it cost but I get the impression that it's good value for money.
