Pros:
very light, very stable, great build quality.
Cons:
not cheap... but who says Gitzo is cheap ?
I have been using this tripod for more than one year now and love it!
I travel a lot and appreciate the low weight of this tripod. It is very convenient not only when I need to fly (and have to keep the weight of the photo gear down) but also whe
n hiking (and when even 6 lbs of photo gear is already a lot). But it does not sacrifice stability either. I often mount my 100-400 IS on top of it (weight of the lens + camera + flash: 5lbs) and, while I am always careful when doing so, I never felt this setup unsafe.
I use this tripod mostly for landscape and wildlife, and usually like having a rather low point of view when doing so; therefore the rather low height of this tripod is not muc
h a problem for me at this point. But it could be a problem for some.
Obviously, the price is on the high side, but the quality of the tripod is so good and it does what it should so well, than I can only recommend it!
