Compact and made from solid, precision-machined aluminum this all-metal head has the strength and durability to handle a wide variety of digital and 35 mm cameras and lenses. The 3-way pan head has a metal quick release plate that positively locks into the head. One lever operation of the quick release lock allows fast mounting and un-mounting of the camera. Yes | Total Spent: $160.00| Rating: 8    Pros: A very practical, no prtetentions head for a higher level prosumer digital. Cons: Works OK with the heavy SLR gear, but would not recommend its for general use with such gear. A very practical, no prtetentions head for a higher level prosumer digital. I use it with the Minolta A2 and save the heavy Manfrotto for the heavy gear. The QR plate is symetrical so there's no special orientation needed and the lock is a straightforward pressure lock. The three way controls are nice and positive and the pan is plenty smooth for an inexpensive head. Note: The $160 price included the tripos as well.
