Pros: Plenty of room, configurable compartments, integrated rain cover
Cons: Can be bulky to carry, combination of body/lens and stowed long zoom can be difficult to configure.

The Lowepro Nova 5 AW can be a God-send, and yet it can also be an annoyance. On the plus side, it has plenty of room for a few lenses, maybe two bodies, a flash unit, and plenty of other smaller compartments for CF cards, lens cloths, small instruction manuals, etc. Perhaps best of all, it has an integrated rain cover which can easily be extracted and pulled over the entire case to protect it and its valuable content from getting soaked in a torrential rain. It is NOT a complete moisture protection system by far, but it certainly will protect your stuff from heavy rain.

On the minus side, I found the removable, velcro lined ccompatment dividers a bit difficult to configure. To begin with, they feel rather flimsy, and feel as they will tear when pulled apart, although after plenty of installing, moving, re-arranging, and so forth, none of mine have showed any evidence of tearing.

If you, as I, have an slr body/grip, and lens combination, and you want to store it in this case along with an extra, long zoom, then this case will be difficult to configure. I have a Canon 300 mm f/4, which is quite a large lens, and for it to be stowed in this case, it has to be placed lying down, lengthwise (standing it upright in the case will cause a bulge, and the case cannot be zippered w/o force). This makes it difficult to create another protected compartment for your camera/grip/lens combo, as there is really no way to accomodate it cleanly. Granted, this is probably a very isolated situation.

T be fair, this bag will accomodate A LOT of stuff. So if you are looking for lots of room, and want to carry a body or two with a good mix of lenses, look no further. Just remember you may still need to carry long zooms separately, or minimize your number of smaller lenses.
